Automatic Timer for Lamp to Reduce Electricity Usage in Nusa Prima Logistik

PT Nusa Prima Logistik (“NPLog”) announced its energy saving implementation on the facility in order to further realize the group’s intention in being a responsible and sustainable company.

The management stated that the facility often consumed unnecessary energy for lighting during nighttime operation in which the biggest reason is the different timing to turn off the light at the end of every shift. In order to avoid excess energy consumption, NPLog has installed an automatic timer placed at each of the lighting tools in the facility.

The idea of the new system is for the lighting throughout the facilities to be turned on or off in a specific time / hour every day. During its trial run for more than five months, NPLog managed to successfully maintaining the decrease of energy consumption.

Located in Terminal Teluk Lamong, Surabaya, Indonesia, NPLog plans to have several campaigns in the next year to maintain its commitment in sustainability.
