Bungasari Inaugurates the Largest Flour Factory Roof PLTS in Indonesia

We are proud to share a new milestone for our group as Bungasari Flour Mills Indonesia, an affiliated company of FKS Group, has inaugurated the installation of Roof Solar Power (PLTS) with capacity of 2,4 megawatt-peak on its factory in Medan, North Sumatera.

Yanuar Samron, Country Head Indonesia of FKS Group added, “The initiative is inline with the Group’s strategy and sustainability focus in reducing emission. We are also committed to supporting the government’s zero-emissions target by 2060.”

Through this facility, Bungasari is able to produce its own electrical energy for daily operation in Medan totaling 2,940,819 kWh per year, while the production of clean energy will help to reduce 68,668,113 kg of carbon dioxide per year and reducing the emission equivalent to that produced by 14,704 four-wheel vehicles

Recognized as one of the pioneer in renewable-energy-powered flour mill in Indonesia, as well as North Sumatera’s largest roof-top solar power installation, we believe the program will help to further realize FKS Group’s ESG Goal and support the government to achieve the SDG’s Goal where we commit to develop a green future through a green economy movement
